It all depends on which kind of trader you are and what is your financial goal along with your available time for stock trading .if you are equity intraday player , you can start with limited capital .if you are positional trader and you can’t be available full time in market you must have decent capital to trade and hold stocks. Now how much you can earn from market is not wise question instead you must ask what is realistic profit expectation from stock market. From my experience and experience of other experts , realistic profit expectation is 1%-2% per day from equity intraday & options .10%-15% from swing & positional trades .please note ultimate profits always creates by long term investment in stock market .this is for sure .

Well answer is it all depends how much consistent efforts you want to make , how much time you are able and willing to give and how much you want to learn .all these will decide how fast you can become successful trader .its skill and art like other , it takes 5 years to become doctor or engineer .it takes 4-5 years to minimum study , practice only after that one become eligible to earn. same applies at stock market too.if you want fast money , for sure money will drain fast too.

Yes , you can make it full time career but not from start .first make it and keep it part time .have some other source of income along with it .start with swing trades .after at least year slowly move to make it full time. there are many youtube videos who ask you to leave job and buy their courses and start full time. Trust me , they want to sell courses and increase views .they have nothing to do with your capital .strat with big time frame and move to small time frame .unfortunately 90% people start trading do just opposite .after capital drain out they start positional trading .realty is option trading must be avoided at any cost but 90% trader start with option trades in nifty banknifty. Very good questions. indeed many facts lies in above question. stock market trading is for income generation in short term and wealth creation in long term. Now understand , equity intraday and equity swing trades are for income generation whereas short term and long term investments are for wealth creation. Note on thing in big and bold once you come in stock market for 1^st 6 months your goal must be capital protection not income generation. first learn its rules, discipline and principals then start slowly .
